Our July!!

July always goes by way to fast. Every year it gets even worse. But I do love the holidays that cause this rushed feeling. The 4th & the 24th!!!! What great holidays to get to celebrate. I love this country and I love my religion!!!!! Here are some pictures to show how we spent our July.

On July 3rd we went to Todd & Jenns house to watch the fireworks show that Rigby puts on. They were very good but not as good as Todd's show with the gas can and pile of dead trees.
We love ya Todd!!! You always keep us on our toes! (or running for our lives) :)

I of course forgot our camera on the 4th of July but we had a full day. We went to the parade in I.F. again and had a great barbecue at Mom & Dad's house. They always have a lot of yummy food! After that we went to Craig's cousins house and visited with all his cousins that we haven't had a chance to see in 4 years. The grand finale of course of our fourth was the Melalueca fireworks show. Always amazing!!!!
I have now been in charge of our ward float for the 24th of July for three years. Our theme this year was 100 years of history because our court house turned 100. So we did 100 years of music. Here are a few pictures of the building of the float that we started on July 8th.

We had a gramophone, standing radio, Juke box, transistor radio, boom box, & an Ipod.

The idea of course showing the different ways of listening to music over 100 years.

Alexys was in the 24th of July play "Seusical" She worked a lot of hours preparing for this. They started in June and by the middle of July they were practicing for 3-4 hours a day to be ready for the week of the 24th. They had 5 shows in one week. What a great job everyone did. so many songs and dance moves to memorize! She was a bird girl. Alexys is the blue one.

Here are some pictures from the actual shows.

Katie and I went to every show and therefore Katie knows every dance move. She has great rhythm and wishes so much for the ability to sing her heart out. She doesn't keep that from stopping her from performing for anyone that will watch.

We can't get a picture of her because it's just a big blur.

Craig played on the ward baseball team. He tore his ACL last year so he tried to do it only when they needed him but they did win the championship game on Sat. He played that game so he felt he deserved to get a shirt.

I failed once again to have my camera handy.

We won first place for our float. I was so excited because we have not place at all the last two years. Then to top that off the Rexburg Dance Festival came to us and are going to use it for their parade on Aug. 3. I'm glad it will get used a few times before we have to take it all apart. I'll get some pictures of it then.
Here are the only pictures we got from our parade.
Dad was nice enough to let me use his truck again this year. We started with three girls in the back of the truck. By the end of the parade we had 5 in the back and one more up front with me. Good Times!!!

The next day was Sunday and my parents were in charge of keeping watch at Darby Girls camp in Driggs. So we went up there for the afternoon to play on the slide that is more than fifty feet long and comes down the side of the mountain. Katie loved it!!!!

On July 28 I cut off my hair to give to Locks of Love. If you have been blessed with hair please consider doing this. Kids with cancer or other problems get these wigs made for them for free. I started getting my hair ready last fall and it was finally ready. I took off 12 inches.

I had saved my hair from when I was nine and had cut it for the first time. It was also 12 inched long. I sent both of them in. This picture I am holding both of them.

Alexys went to her 3rd year of girls camp. She left the 28th and came home on the 31st. They went on a big hike on Wed. up to Sheep Falls. She took some great pictures!

We love this girl!!!!!

Katie missed her as much as me so we drove up for a few minutes one night.

We had the kids next door come over and play so Katie wouldn't miss Alexys so much. She had a good time! Katie

Well we had many more things to share but I can only handle sitting at this computer for so long! Thanks for stopping in!!

Have a great August!!!

June

Our June was filled with many different activities. From Alexys graduating from Junior High to Family reunions. Here are some pictures to tell the story of how we spent June 2009.

Alexys Graduated from 8th grade

Alexys and some of her friends after graduation waiting for the dance to start.

Craig and Alexys at the ward camp out.

Katie got her new bike!!

$10 day at the Riot Zone. Katie was at the controls.

Alexys was a good sport and went on it twice with her.

I went on it with her the third time. I was laughing and screaming when she would take us up and down so Katie thought that was very funny.

My Mom had a little reunion with just her siblings. Her only brother lives in Oregon and only comes every few years and her sister Brenda (the tall one) Just returned from a mission with her husband from the Philippines. So it has been a while since they were all together.
We had our family reunion with my family. This is a Banana gram of all our names of the people that stayed up at the cabin.

This is all of us! Those are the Tetons in back of us. And we are wearing our shirts that I made. On the back I put #s. Dad is #1 and Tanner the youngest is #21. Your # is in what order you came into the family not by age. (We should have 4 more in this picture but 3 of them are attending to more important thing right now.)

We had many things I didn't get on camera but hey I can't carry that thing everywhere!!!

Alexys' New Room

Alexys moved into this room a few months ago. I finally got around to painting it. We still have a few things to do yet but this is a good start. My friend Heidi came and helped me and she is amazing! She is very talented and has great ideas. Thank You Heidi!

This is a curtain wall. We found some table clothes on clearance and cut them up and sewed them together. Alexys shares a room with my storage. (Her choice.) So we made this curtain to make the room look better. I need to do a few adjustments with it to make it hang a little more straight, but I think it looks great!
This is also a piece of the table cloth. Just some ribbon to tie it up and untie to have more privacy. Heidi is so clever.
We put the bench under the window and covered it with a pretty material.
I still need to attach the material.

In case you can't read this it says "Sing like nobody is listening"

Alexys' Last Day of School & Katie's New Bike!

On the last day of school the Junior High does a talent show. Here is Alexys and some of her friends doing the song We go together from Grease. I think they did a good job. Maybe I am just being a Mom. Let us know what you think! Enjoy!!

And here is Katie on her new trike. It is made for Special needs children so it is easier for her to control. She loves it but has a hard time not riding away into the sunset!

GO MISS BUBBA!!!

Rigby Triathlon

We got the results in the Post Register today!
Craig got 1:32:41!!!
Way to go Craig!!

Craig has done another Triathlon. Today he participated in the Rigby Tri. He beat his old time by almost a half an hour. He had a good time and really seems to love doing this. We are very proud of his dedication and ability. He always gives 100% and we love him for it!!
Way to go Craig!!!

This picture originally had Craig in it but he had just hit the Finish sign with his hand and also a high five to some guy and his hands were in the process of coming down so he looked kind of funny. So this is all you get to see. Sorry!

This is Craig and his friend from work, K.J. Johnson.
This was K.J.'s first Triathlon and he did very well.
