Ward Talent Show

We had our Ward Talent Show tonight and I think that these guys did really great. Craig played his ukulele and Alexys sang and Miss Bubba did her thing. (Pretending to play her ukulele and sing and dance, mostly bum shaking) They performed Somewhere Over The Rainbow. I of course forgot my camera and therefore was at the mercy of my cell phone camera. No zoom and no focus. One of the brothers in our bishopric was taking pictures of everything and he did get a few that he is going to email me. So as soon as those come I will post those on here instead of these sorry excuses for pictures.
Have a great night (or day) and thanks for stopping by!

Valentines Day!!!

Well with Valentines Day being on a Sunday this year I got to celebrate two days in a row. My husband planned a day for us together with some of our good friends. Jed & Amanda. We had so much fun! We left at 11 o'clock in the morning and we went bowling!!

I love to bowl!! We bowled for an hour (we got in two games!)

Then we went to lunch at Winger's!

Who doesn't love this place?
I got so full!

After that we went to the $2 movies!

We have waited for The Blind Side to get there forever!!
What a great show!

Then we spent the evening playing games!

We had a fun day!!

Then on Sunday morning I woke up to roses.
I love you Craig!
And thanks for a wonderful Valentines Day!!!

Sunbathing!!

It was a beautiful afternoon!!! Warm enough that Craig went sunbathing! We don't get to see the sun and warmth all at the same time this time of year very often.Katie was so excited that she decided to brave the snow and try to make a snowman. She found out that just walking in the snow was a challenge so she just had fun making trails all over the yard.
Craig on the table soaking up some rays!

Katie wondering why it's so hard to walk in snow...

Jetta and Katie playing. They love to be together!
(Katie had just pulled her boot out of the snow here she isn't trying to kick Jetta.)

Another fall!

Must have gotten a bit warm on the other side...

Katie's 8 !!!

Well this post has lots of pictures!! Katie turned 8 years old today! (Sunday 17th) We decided to celebrate on Saturday at the Sand Dunes sledding. Katie loves it!!! She has no fear at all. We roasted hot dogs over a fire and the day was beautiful. Craig's brothers from Alaska are in town for a week (that's another post) so they came with us. Later Saturday evening we had a little cake and gifts with just the four of us. She is such a sweet little thing and I'm thankful for these moments so I can remember that.
Enjoy the pictures!!

This is Craig & Katie coming down the hill together. Craig is on a tube and he is holding on to Katie's round sled. She was laughing so hard about it.

Katie came down her first time with her uncle Corey. He is one of her Dad's brothers from Alaska. This was the first time Corey and Katie have met. He hasn't been down this way in over 7 years.

Alexys & Me (Debi).
We linked arms and we almost did a circle before Craig could snap this shot.

I missed this run but Alexys had jumped on Craig's back and they rode down together. This was just after Alexys had rolled off.

I gave Katie a ride down on my back.
She was giggling the whole way down the hill. Like I said, she has no fear.

One of her many trips down alone. She almost always would turn backwards when she rode the round sled. We were always amazed at how far she could get.

Here she is opening her gifts from Craig's Family around the campfire.

We got her an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen.
She could hardly contain her excitement over all this ice cream.

She still blows up into her bangs so Craig helped her with the candles. She is none the wiser though. As far as she is concerned she did it.

She is clapping so fast her hands are a blur.

This is a package her Grandma Lofgreen sent from Indiana.
Her look says it all!

Once again she is moving so fast she is a bit of a blur. This is a gift from Grandma Housley. They share the same Birthday. But Mom was in Mesquite for the week. She sent this gift earlier in the week. She loves her Grandmas!!

She had just opened one of her gifts from us and she got up to dance after every gift. She moves so fast that I just gave up on trying to get a good shot of it.

Here it is after she calmed down a notch.
Her own hair product kit.
The blow Dryer blows air and she has already done all of our hair a few times.
Even Craig's. ;) (Mr. Clean)

New Years!!!

I just want to take a minute to say Happy New Years to everyone. This has been a strange year for me but that's life I guess. I am making my resolution this year to just make sure I don't take the people I care about for granted. I want to make it a goal to always let them know I appreciated them. This doesn't mean I will always be nice, lets be realistic, but I am going to try harder to show how I feel and to not let a time go by when I see them that they will know I love them. That will be hard for me. I am naturally a person that doesn't like to show my feelings that way and so don't think I don't love you if I fail to show it.
I love all of you and I wish you a safe and Happy New Year!!!
Lets Dance!!

Christmas

Well I guess Christmas is over again. We had such a nice Christmas. The girls seemed to take their time opening gifts and that made everything good. It was nice not to see them just rip into everything and just enjoy each item as they received it. Katie didn't even have her eyes open til she saw the tree. At first she tried to go down stairs to our other tree. She walked right past all the gifts with her eyes still mostly closed. It was pretty funny. We had to steer her in the right direction.

Here Katie is after she finally found her way to the right tree.
Alexys was trying to act like she wasn't as excited as Katie but she was.

This was one of our gifts from my parents. We had this picture taken in I.F By Brian McBride in September. We are glad we had it done. Brian was also the man that was over Tracy's funeral. He is a good person.

The picture is much nicer than it looks on here. I just took a picture of it.

I hope you all had a great Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas!!!

This is as close to a Christmas card as I get. Not enough time or money to send them out. I didn't have room to fit all of our experiences on here but this just narrowed down what I want to remember. Sooo...
We hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!!!
And a Happy New Year!!

Katie's First Dance Performance!!

Katie did her first dance performance tonight at the Rexburg Tabernacle. She loved getting all dolled up. We put makeup on her and glitter and curled her hair. She was in heaven!! She is in the three and four year old class right now but I think they are going to move her up to the five and six year old class soon. She loves dancing!!!

This is Katie and three of the girls in her class.

They wore these Pj's for their costumes.

Here is a link to watch the performance but last I checked they still hadn't approves the sound on the video. Who knows?

Christmas Tree Hunt!

Every year we go into the mountains to get a tree, and sometimes two, the day after Thanksgiving. This year the girls got out of school a day early so we decided to go get our tree the day before Thanksgiving. It was a beautiful day and we had a lot of fun together! It took us a few hours but in the end we found what we were looking for. These pictures are from our first stop. We stopped about 4 times and by then we didn't want to carry the camera any more. Plus after using a hatchet to cut down two trees I was too worn out to take pictures. I'm sure we will post some pictures of the trees once they are in the house and decorated.
Alexys helping Katie not fall down in the snow.

Katie trying to see out from under her snow hat.

Alexys being her sweet funny self.

Hope you all have or had a great Thanksgiving!!!!!

Alexys

After Tracy's funeral my whole family came over to our house because that evening Alexys had a choir concert. Alexys had 2 solos and a duet.
She did a beautiful job!!

This is at the football game. We were all a bit tired from the long drive. Alexys might look a tad annoyed with me but she still loves me!!

She has beautiful eyes!!

As you can see we enjoy being close up when we take pictures of Alexys.
This is at the cabin we stayed at last weekend.
I love spending time with my family!!

Katie

Katie is a very busy girl. She seems to be on the go constantly. Between all of her therapy and school she is also in dance and then there is just the simple fact that she has more energy than 3 average kids. She keeps us on the go but we love her. Here are some things she has done over the past few weeks.

Alexys & Katie at the school Halloween carnival.

Katie in her dance clothing at her Grandma and Grandpa Housley's house

Katie on our trip across Idaho to watch a state football game. She didn't seem to care we had to wrap a pull-up around the headphones in order for them to fit her little head. Funny girl!

Katie at the football game. We had just driven over 6 hours to get to the game and she was still smiling! She does great in the car. We spend a lot of time going places so it's a good thing.

We spent this past weekend up at a cabin.
This is Katie on Sat. morning eating her waffles.

What a happy girl she is. We have been blessed to have two wonderful daughter. I will post some of Alexys' updates in a few days.
Have a great day!!!!

Baby pictures of Tracy

Here are a few pictures of Tracy when he was a baby and in grade school.
He was such a cute baby. The first one is of Mom and Tracy when he was around 18 months. Still an only child.
This is Tracy at age 2.
Tracy in grade school, my guess is around 7.

My Brother Tracy

Tracy passed away peacefully in his sleep during the early morning hours Sat. Oct. 31, 2009. He was a special spirit of our Heavenly Fathers. He suffered from epilepsy for over 40 years and God has finally given him the relief he deserves. I am so happy for him, but my heart hurts. Our family will miss him and we look forward to the day we get to meet him again and when we will have the opportunity to get to know him as his true self. We love you Tracy!! Till we meet again...
