A month since my last post??? Wow!

We have been very busy this month already. July always seems to be like that. We went to Rigby Lake and camped for three nights. They always have a big party there with fireworks before the fourth. We had a great spot and even were lucky to get a private spot on the beach. We had a great time.

I'll post more of this month in a few days.

My patriotic toes. =)

The beach across the lake from us at Rigby Lake. That flag was huge!

Katie enjoying a smore.

Craig enjoying the water.

He'll probably be mad for me posting a picture of him without a shirt on. I think he has nothing to be ashamed of but I guess we are always our own worst critic.

And yes that is Craig. He looks like he's in disguise with the hat, beard and glasses. =)

I love you Craig!!
Playing in the sand.
Katie exploring the water

Loving the water and sun.

Alexys Was loving the dragon flies. They would land on her fingers and toes while she floated in the water.
Close up of the dragonfly on her finger.

The girls playing in the lake.
(Me, Alexys, Katie)

Reagan and Tanner came to visit for a few minutes.
They stopped by a few times since we were only about 300 yds. from their back door. =)

I forgot to call and tell Craig we needed firewood so he went into the trees and came back with this for wood.

She loved the sand.

Katie waiting for the fireworks Sat. night.

Alexys and I got a little crispy after the day on the water. Her sweatshirt matches her legs. We won't even talk about this pose. =)

My Dad!!

I know that everyone thinks this but I know that I am right.

I have the best dad ever!!

I love so many things about him. He makes me laugh. He makes me mad. He is always there when I need him. During all the hard times in my life, he has always been there to help me through and to be strong. Thanks for your testimony of Christ and the gospel Dad. You are my hero.

♥ I Love You!!! ♥

Cars

After 6 years we are selling the Suburban. It's a bitter sweet thing for me. I love my car and it makes me sad to see it go. On the other hand I will not miss it when I go to fill up my gas tank again. It's really too bad that gas has to be so much. Oh well I guess. I am happy that some good people are getting it. Treat it well you guys!! Yes I know you will be reading this eventually. ;) ♥

We ended up buying not one but two other cars. And not only that they are both Subaru's. =)

One we test drove over by Challis and the other we purchased from a couple in Utah without seeing it first. Craig's cousin looked at it for us and we are praying we will like it and it will be a good car. I found some pictures on the Internet of them. The second picture of the Suburban is ours. The first is a random picture. Ours had better wheels and black door handles.

This is what ours looks like

♥ This one is ours! ♥
I really am so sad to not have it anymore. =(

This is the one from Challis. It will be Alexys and Craig's car.

They are both happy with it.

This is what mine looks like. I have yet to see it as of Sunday afternoon. I paid for it Friday. This is really a strange feeling..... anyway I think it will be a good car. I will hopefully get to see it tonight!!

Well that's my update for today!

Happy Father's Day!!

Robins have flown away

O.K so I am a little sad that the robins are gone. I really loved watching them grow.

It's amazing how fast it happened. Less than 3 weeks and they have flown away. Here is a little picture review of what I got to see.

I have to admit this first picture is from last year. I accidentally erased the one from this year. There were four eggs this year.

Momma bird keeping her eggs warm.

It's a bit foggy because I had to zoom in from about 30 ft. away and through our window or she would fly away.

Finally hatched after only a week.

Cute and ugly all at the same time.
Almost covered with feathers!
I love the blue feathers. I have never noticed them on bigger robins. Has anyone else?

Amazing that they could still find a comfy position to lay in.

So cute!!

Things were starting to get a bit crowded. =)

Empty nest! I wish I could have seen them fly away.

There is still the little egg that never hatched.

Have a good little life little friends!!

Thanks for letting me annoy you a few times every day. =)

Robins 6 days old

I am so excited that the baby robins are still alive. =) They are growing fast and have more feathers now! Much cuter than the last video.

My camera went dead so this video is only 11 seconds long. Long enough to see them though.

Baby Robins in my tree!

We have baby robins in one of our trees again this year. I hope these babies will survive. I took a small video of them. I may try and do this every few days for the next couple of weeks.

Happy Spring!!

Being Mom.....

Sorry if I offend anyone with this picture but sometimes this is just how I feel.

Some days I feel like I have gone completely crazy!! I hope it won't last but sometimes I think it might be a permanent side effect to having kids.......

Hope all you Moms out there survive another day.

Or should I say your kids..............?

Prom

Alexys went to her first Prom on Saturday. We decided to take some pictures of their group before they went to dinner. I think they had fun and enjoyed it a bit. They all looked great and this is such a good group of kids.

Thanks for letting me take your pictures guys!!

Lyndsie and Wade, Alexys and Nathan, Aubrie and Connor, Jessie and Ryan

I really did love her dress.

These are the only shots I got of her hair.

Craig intimidating Nathan

I thought this one was funny.

We had about 30 minutes before the others showed up.

Sorry it's sideways

I liked this shot. They all looked so good in their formal wear.

Zion

We went on a another trip to Zion N.P.

I don't know what it is about that place but I love it. =)

We went with my parents this time. I think we all had a great time. I know I did.

We stayed at the park for three nights. The sun was out every day and the temperature was lovely. The only two things that could have made the trip perfect were if Alexys had come with us and if gas was cheaper. The price in Spingdale had hit $4. CRAZY!

But what a beautiful world we have to enjoy! I'm glad we took the chance to enjoy a small part of it.

Craig and Katie on top of the lookout of the canyon.

Here is the view on top of the canyon overlook.
Amazing!!

Mom and Dad on a hike. We are so proud of Mom for taking this hike. It was not for sissies.

Good job Mom!!

A small bridge we crossed to get the lookout.

Zoom in of the bridge with Craig, Katie and Mom and Dad.

This is Angel's Landing. I hiked this a few years back but was not brave enough to reach the top.

This year I did it!!

It drops off 1400 ft. on one side and I think it's 700 ft. on the other. At some points its is only about 10 ft wide and there is only a chain to hold on to. Thank goodness for that chain!

Anyway. I'm just glad I finished this time.

It took Dad and Craig and myself 5 hours round trip. Not too shabby I think for 5.4 miles. =)

Here is part of the accent. We were waiting for our turn. People were coming down as we were trying to go up. This is pretty close to the top.

Craig sitting as high up on top as he could get. You can vaguely see the road back there next to the river.

The wind gusts got pretty strong at times. It kind of freaked me out a bit.

And here is proof that the motor home was there. This is Mom and Dad heading home.

I have over 300 more pictures but I won't post them here of course. Thanks for stopping in!

Thanks again Mom and Dad!! We had a great time.

Katie

Katie has been watching a lot of singing these last few months. She has always loved music but it seems she has had some new in site on how to perform. One of the new things is having a microphone stand in front of you. Not just holding a mic. but having the stand as well.

She was in the front room the other day singing. (That is not the unusual part.) I decided to go sneak a peak at what she was doing. She had taken my wreath stand and was using it as her mic. stand. I thought that was pretty clever of her. She was rocking out and even dipped the stand a few times. Pretty funny little girl. =)

It was the right size even.

The blue blur is a scarf that she plays with constantly.

Her foot was stomping so fast it's just a blur here.

Here is the dip.

So fun!

Upper Valley Idol Finals

So she didn't win last night but she was still the best singer up there. No I am not being biased. I wish I had all the songs performed last night to show you. The other girls are very talented but if you based the show entirely on voice and not theatrical antics, She rules it. Just a fact in my book. hehe. Well at least it's all over and done with now. No more stress over it all. I have her two performances posted after this one so keep scrolling down if you want to watch them.

I hope Alexys had a great time. She is such a great girl with so much talent and I hope she will continue on with her singing and never doubt what she is can do.

♥I love you Alexys!♥

Before the show still at home.

She just can't help herself. =)
After second performance being judged.

A couple of goofballs!

Nathan and Alexys

I love this girl!!!!!!!

I also need to send out a special thank you to my lovely friend

Hannah Chelson!!

She took over the camera for me for the night. I have never been able to just sit and watch Alexys perform before so it was great.

Thanks Miss Hannah!!!!

Alexys Upper Valley Idol Finals

This song was great after she got that little dry tickle out. =) She had been down in the basement of the theatre getting ready when they told her she was on now. She ran up the stairs 3 at a time and had just sat down to take a quick drink when he called her up on stage. She was pretty winded but pulled it together and gave a great performance.

Alexys Upper Valley Idol Finals Open Arms

This was a wonderful performance. The sound guys were not on top of things like they could have been so there was a lot of feedback but she just sang through it and gave an awesome performance. I think this last song will always be my favorite one she did.

Meg

Our little friend left us yesterday.

She was 12 years old and had gone blind and her hearing was getting worse every day. I know she is happier now but I will miss her very much.

♥♥♥

Thanks for the friendship Meg.♥

She was such a cute little thing.
