Our Afternoon Together!

We had such a good time up at Harriman State park on Wed. We knew it would be the last beautiful day before the clouds moved in so I asked Craig to take me cross country skiing. We have not had a chance to go up there this year and I'm so glad we did it. The weather was warm and the swans and ducks were everywhere. I am a little sore but not as bad as I thought I would be. What a beautiful world we live in!

Kaite's Birthday!

Katie turned 7 today! She got dressed up with her birthday crown and is having a great day! She was excited about her birthday breakfast that her sister Alexys prepared for her. A pancake shaped like a bunny w/ chocolate chips and whip cream on top. After that she opened her big gift. Her roller coaster! She loves it. She had to take her balloons for a ride! So much fun!!!!!Happy Birthday Katie!

Happy New Year!

I hope you all had a great New Year Celebration. We had some of our friends over. We didn't do much more than just eat good food and talk. We did play a few games. We had some fireworks that we set off at midnight. I think it was a good evening. We spent a few nights at our friends cabin in Squirrel up past Ashton. We had fun even though the weather was nasty. The wind blew so hard that you could see the wall move. We spent most of our time inside playing the Wii or other games. We stayed busy the entire time. Craig did make a sled trail to go on. He took the tube down again the day we left and it popped on the ice. All that wind caused a layer of ice to form on top of the snow. We then went up to spend Saturday in Island Park. We went sledding and Snow machining. I took a bit of a spill on my machine but walked away fairly intact. My helmet flew off and the machine was about thirty feet away but no broken bones. My nephew Cameron said he saw me in the superman position when he first turned and looked back at me. Pretty fun stuff! Overall we had a good time this New Years. We send our love!

Have a safe and Happy New Year!!!!

Our Christmas was great! We love when we get to spend time with each other and it seems with work and what not there just isn't enough time to go around these days.

Katie is finally as tall as the light switches! She is growing just not very fast. That is fine with me. Less clothing to replace each year. She had a great Christmas. Alexys let her sleep in her room on Christmas Eve. Katie loves it when she gets to have a sleep over with her sister. She got a giant monkey and she loves it.

Alexys got a DS for Christmas and is pretty excited about it. She never asks for anything for Christmas but I constantly ?? her on what she wants and after I purchased the DS I ?? her and she basically said she wasn't interested. SO I was very nervous. She wasn't thrilled when she opened it but after she played it she was very happy with it. She doesn't leave it alone very often.

Craig got a treadmill. The best part of the gift was the price. FREE! Thank you Auntie Cheryl. I love you!!!! He is in training Heaven. Craig is training for next years Triathlons and marathons or 5K's or whatever. He is very good at keeping up with his goals of fitness. If only I could get that motivation.

Craig spoiled me this year and of course I took it all back. I have never done that before so he wasn't upset about it. Overall the Holiday was great.

We spent Christmas Eve at my Mom & Dad's house. We love to do that. Mom always goes all out for the holidays. She gave us a certificate to get our family photos done professionally. I love it because as much as I want to look good in a picture I can't afford it. SO Thank You Mom & Dad!!!! My brother Greg and his two older boys brought their guitars and amps and played and sang some songs for us. They are very good. Greg plays the bass guitar, Nathan plays lead guitar (?) and Cameron was on the piano. They never fail to amaze me with their talent.

Overall we had a great Christmas. We hope you all did to. We love you guys!!

We hope you all are doing well. We send our love through our prayers everyday.

How Time Flies??

Well it has been a long time since I updated my Blog so I am going to do a quick update.
We went to Yellowstone again and listened to the elk bugle. That is always a fun trip for us. Katie decided she enjoys looking through the binoculars. They are usually backwards but she still manages to be super excited about what she sees in them.
Alexys is forever being a great help with Katie. She is always right there to help out no matter what. Alexys is growing up faster than I can handle and I must say I go in to shock at least 3 times a week when I turn around and see her standing there looking me straight in the eye.
That's life I guess.
I am now substitute teaching. I have only been a few times. 3 times I was in the same class I was in before but 2 other times was for regular high school classes. I must say sometimes you wonder what teenagers are thinking. Anyhow! I think it will be a good thing if I can get more jobs.
Katie lost her first tooth a few weeks ago. I don't think she understood what was going on at all. She kept trying to put it back in. She is thrilled to be able to eat corn on the cob again.
I better get to bed. It is 1:00 in the morning and I need to teach a Sunday School class in the morning. Thank Heavens we switch the clocks tonight!!! Good Night Everyone!!

Harvest Break!!

Well we start spud break this Friday! I am officially done working at the High School. I am going to be working as a substitute teacher for a while til something else in the district comes up. For now I am just going to enjoy being able to get something around my house done. Maybe? We spent last weekend up at our friends cabin. We had a nice time. They are trying to sell the cabin but till it does we get the privilege of staying at it from time to time. It's a beautiful place. Thanks Jed & Amanda!! Alexys just got her mid-term grade and she has all A's. She always tries her hardest and that is all we ask. Katie is still working on her potty training and gets a tiny bit closer every day. Keep your fingers crossed for us. anyway that is about it for our life this week. I'll write again soon! Debi

Work!?

Hey guys!
I started working at the High School Two weeks ago. I am an aid for a girl. It is proving to be a real test for me when I have to handle her all day and then come home to Katie and still find patience to get through the evening. I guess we'll see how strong I really am. My biggest challenge is one of my coworkers. She wants to be my boss and give me her ideas on what is right and to tell me I am wrong. Any advice out there on how to handle someone like that?? Your opinion would be welcome! Anyway I think this is a good job and I hope I can handle it. I hope as time goes by it will get easier to manage. I do miss my alone time!!
Katie is doing great with her new teacher. She is always smiling and happy. Well not always, but when she does it makes you forget when she was bad. That's why God made her cute!
Alexys is doing great in school. She always seems to get good grades. We hope she will be able to keep them up all the way through High School. She is my sanity. I love her dearly.

Craig is still the hardest working guy I know. He finally shaved off that stupid mustache!! Thank heavens!! He is way too nice looking to have a curly mustache.

I'll stop rambling now and let you get back to your day. But Thanks for dropping in to see how we are! I love you all. And I want to send out a big Good Choice!! to Reagan on her decision to be baptized. We love you Reagan!!!!
And to everyone else you are always in our prayers, we love you too! Bye!!!!

Swimming in his cool swim cap everyone had to wear!

Biking on the coolest bike in the race!

Running across the finish line!!

Cool medals!!!

Eden, Utah

We had the chance to go to Eden Utah last week. Katie loved it because there was a pool just her size so she didn't have to have on her life jacket to be in the pool. Look at that face!! She was so happy!

Alexys loved it because she could play tennis. Doesn't she look like a pro?!!!

Thanks Mom & Dad for letting us come and stay with you. You guys are the greatest!

Yellowstone

We went to Yellowstone with our friends the Clarks. We were able to get Katie her lifetime pass to the national parks finally. We saw a lot of wildlife but not one single buffalo Anyway here are some pictures of our trip. The first is of Craig ,Katie ,Amanda, Jed, And Max in Mammoth Hot Springs. The next is of a Grizzly bear we saw. The last one is of a Black bear just off the road.

Craig & Debi On the Ashton Reservoir

Finally done!!!!

Well the 24th celebration has finally come and gone. The float turned out great and everyone seemed to really like it. This is a picture of Alexys and her friends Natalie Zach and Ross. They rode in the parade together. I am so glad to have it over but I really had a great time getting it put together. Not everyone gets the chance to build something like '57 Chevy out of wood, chicken wire and pedal paper!!

Alexys is leaving for camp tomorrow so I will try to write more later. Enjoy the photos of our July!
